You know what time of the year it is? No, not Fall… PSL Season (Pumpkin Spice Late) or as I like to say PSE (Pumpkin Spice Everything)! I realized I haven’t posted any light hearted or random posts on here, so I thought I’d share about my new blessing, Pumpkin.
Pumpkin is my newly adopted Chihua-weenie that my roommate and her boyfriend happened to find one night. When they found her, my roommate snapped me a picture of her. As soon as I saw that snap, I just new we had to keep her. But, since we currently live with a zoo, we had to “try” and find her actual home before we could just claim her.
— Just as a little back story, my current roommates have three other dogs and two cats, so claiming another dog would be a lot —
Fortunately for them and for me, I didn’t have any pets, so it was completely justifiable that I adopt her. This is the same story we told my roommate’s boyfriend since he strictly said she could not keep her. So long story short, we posted all over social media, checked to see if she was chipped, and waited about 2-weeks before we actually said she was ours. We surrendered her to the humane society, got her spayed, vaccinated and chipped, and I officially adopted her October 21, 2018.
Pumpkin has been one of the biggest joys in my life during this rough season. She came at a perfect time and provides nothing but joy in my life and others. She became apart of the family instantly, and we absolutely adore her. She loves to bark when she’s outside (we’re working on it), very sociable, loves to be the center of attention and is such a sweetie pie. She still has her hiccups, but I love her regardless. She is the best cuddler and kisser a girl could ever ask for, lol.
I hope this small article on Pumpkin can make your day a little brighter, just like she does for me everyday.
Stay blessed,
Alicia Xo
