Many times in my life I have felt like Eeyore – pessimistic, gloomy, worthless. I thought no one cared about me and that I was alone. I thought I was the only one in the world to ever struggle like this and no-one could really fathom how I felt or what I went/was going through. Even after I was saved, I struggled with doubts about not being good enough. I thought God looked down at me ashamed and embarrassed. Till this day, I still battle those negative thoughts. However, as I got older and matured in my faith, I realized I just had the wrong view of who God was. I thought of God as this loving, but angry, strict father who punished his children when they did wrong, especially when they committed the same sin over and over again. Compared to my biological father, I couldn’t imagine a man truly loving his daughter despite anything she did. Although I fall short to the glory of God daily, that’s okay! Because God’s love for US is unconditional!
Life is a constant daily battle and you definitely can’t fight it alone. That is why being involved in a church, organizations, small groups and various other activities is extremely important. That is why being honest and befriending people whom you trust, is important for growth. I am far from perfect and make mistakes ALL the time. I am a sinner deserving of HELL for eternal life! But, God loves me and forgave me! We should not be Eeyore’s! Through Christ, the things of this world will not crush me. Instead, I will run to Christ and have him save me, for I choose eternal life rather than eternal death.
“You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” (Deuteronomy 30:20 NLT)
Being a Christian without Christ is nothing. Therefore, I am nothing without Christ, but I am forgiven. Do not be crushed by this world, yet instead, be raised with your Heavenly Father.

Stay Blessed!
